David has been a software consultant and project manager in Chicago for 24 years. He began attending conventions in high school and 1999 began working on regional literary conventions, chairing Capricon three times and serving as chairman of it's board for three years. In 2004 he assumed leadership of the bid to bring the World Science Fiction Convention to Chicago and was chairman of that event (Chicon 7) when it was held here in 2012.
