Eric Flint is an author, editor, and publisher. He writes alternate history science fiction, hard SF,
space opera, and epic, urban, and comic fantasy. After winning the 1993 Writers of the Future
contest, his first novel was published in 1997. He has edited the works of several classic SF
authors, and served as editor of Jim Baen’s Universe electronic magazine. He created the fan-
fiction e-zine The Grantville Gazette, and launched his own publishing house, Ring of Fire Press.
He has fifty-eight published novels, all of which are still in print.
