I am an Astronomer at the Adler Planetarium, an Associate in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Chicago, and an Affiliated Faculty member of the Zygon Center for Religion & Science. I have an AB in Physics from Cornell University and a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Arizona. My current position combines research in star formation with education and public outreach. I am on the science team for the Milky Way Project, one of roughly 50 (and growing) citizen science projects in the "Zooniverse" (zooniverse.org).
